Is the cost of war silence?

The recent conflict between Israel and Palestine has brought the right of freedom of speech into the forefront with some individuals/groups taking umbrage at those who have compassion for both Israelis and Palestine casualties, as if the 18,000 Palestine people killed somehow negates the 1,200 Israeli dead.

All total that’s 19,200 innocent lives snuffed out, not to mention the continued pain and suffering of those caught up in this ongoing conflict.

I believe it’s imperative that all individuals affected by this war have their voices and stories heard, especially those who are outnumbered, whether in the line of fire or held captive/hostage.

We must speak up and speak out for victims of the atrocities of war (whether declared or undeclared), let us not still their voices in the name of being ‘politically correct’, our present freedoms depend on it.
